Neither team is loaded with preseason stars but first up on the Nevada Prep Report "Scouting the Game" schedule will feature Mojave at Boulder City for the first official opening week game. Both teams will be keyed by athletic linebacker prospects that will also double as threats on the offensive side of the ball.

For the Mojave Rattlers, linebacker/safety Billy Murphy is the best football prospect the team has produced since Reggie Powers. Murphy separates himself from comparison with his strong work in the classroom. Murphy has used the off-season to blossom as an athlete and is expected to be a major impact player for the Rattlers as a senior coming into the season as the #17 rated player in the state.

Boulder City's Michael Kelso is a bit of a secret but he is quietly a great athlete with a strong frame. At 6'3 210, he is a player that was very productive as a junior and can make a huge jump if he steps into the season ready to produce. Also impressive as a tight end prospect, Kelso is a major player to watch and enters the season rated #39 among prospects in the state.

Both teams will be looking to get off on the right foot this season with Boulder City making their first appearance in the Scouting the Game lineup.
