In another high profile match up, this week's Scouting the Game will feature the #8 Centennial Bulldogs traveling across town to take on #3 Durango.

For Centennial, they are keyed by a strong defense led by defensive end Trajan Pili and inside linebacker Christopher Johnson. Johnson is the leader of the defense and a very productive player as a two year starter while Pili is already committed to BYU as a future linebacker.

Two Bulldogs that will be looking to use this game as a proving ground of sorts will be running backs Colby Newton and Lantz Washington. Newton had a big start to the season versus Palo Verde and will be the key if Centennial is to take the contest.

For Durango, they are keyed by three extremely powerful running backs in Marcus Williams, Gene Germaine and Arie McQuaig. Averaging 5-foot-11 and 215-pounds, the Trailblazer backfield is very tough to contain with the speed to go the distance. Each will also play roles on the defensive side of the ball along with junior cornerback Kameron Gillis.

Overall, this game is expected to be among the top battle in the state this weekend with a great slate of game coming up tonight.
