Is this person serious. Phase 1 is an extension of this web site in many ways that is used as a tool to make kids more presentable as college prospects. It is born from ideas from a meeting with Mike Waters when he was at Health South. It just keeps growing and continues to add more services. The Phase 1 Elite kids are guys that I scouted prior and recommended for the program minus two players. I guess, in that person's opinion we should go back to the old days when Nevada was an overlooked area every year.. Mike Ball, Devonte Christopher, Raevon Samuel, Juron Criner, Lawrence Guy, Phillip Payne, Alex Bair, Taylor Knowles, Robert Drye, Jeff Nady, Charles Smith, Colin Shumate and Conner Maloney were not Phase 1 guys. There isn't a bias for me, this is just an opportunity to open up doors for kids with potential. If there are players that I miss, it is the same thing that plenty of others miss ever year. The work I do here is not for personal gain. Most people wouldn't do this and that is a proven fact. I do it because it helps people. As of now, the plan is to continue this effort for just two more years. I have been working behind the scenes in recruiting since 2000 with the 2001 class and started this in 2002. It is a lot more work than many of you would imagine. It is also funny that the post is at a site that has done little to nothing to increase exposure to any athletes.
Will, don't listen to what that poster has to say. You do a great job of putting players names on the map. There are many players you have done stories on that have nothing to do with Phase 1. To critiize Will is just dumb. He makes no money from this. He is here just to help kids out.

I agree, Will does a great job. He needs to keep up the work. However, Kevin Cormier at #25, I don't think so, more like top 5, frankly I think that he is the top pure football player in our state. Come on Will man you need to re-think that.

Cormier is a great athlete that has tremendous tools but the production issue could be a problem. He also has to share the backfield with Reggie Bullock as a senior. As a running back; Sharp, Thomas, Bullock and Hodge are guys that will be major competition in the local market. At defensive back; "Duke" Williams, Harris, Campbell, Tagle, Wadsworth, Clark and York are equal to better prospects. Cormier will need to take in at least a college camp to try to separate himself as an athlete. He will also need to try to play both ways. Athletically he is great but on the field and as far as production he is still average.

You obviously have never watched Kevin Cormier play ball when he was at LVH. There is NO other player, NO ONE that has graduated from this town in the past five years that's a better PLAYER. He was one of the best player on the field for LV when they had the likes of Xavier, Jamal, Chris, Josh, and Jashaad. He took the started at safety in playoff's as a freshman, He was definately the best defensive player on the team as a Sophomore when they had Billy, Collin S, Collin P. I am not sure if you're in touch with his talent, but pay close attention this year. He will not only play big time D1, he wll also play in the NFL if he stays healthy!!!! Mark my words.
