Bishop Gorman defensive back chooses Stanford

In a run of Nevada prospects coming off the board, Bishop Gorman top defender Kyu Kelly (6'0 160) has joined the trend choosing the Stanford Cardinals.

As a junior, Kelly emerged on the football field with outstanding athleticism on the field as a corner. With long arms and great lower body explosion, he showed the ability to dominate opposing pass catchers in coverage with great hips on the edge.

Following the season, he didn’t miss the opportunity to continue to develop moving on to track where he improved on a weekly basis medaling in four events at the State Championship. Nevada’s top sprinter in the 2019 Class as well as returning long jump champion, Kelly looks poised for an even more impressive senior season.

A holder of 14 offers with 9 from the Pac 12 along with one each from the SEC and Big Ten, Kelly is a major grab for the Cardinals who should develop into a key player over the course of his career.
