Cofer opened the scoring in the contest with a 54-yard toss to Michael Simpson with 8:13 left in the second quarter. He would follow it up with a 40-yard sprint at the 3:40 mark but the Falcons would close the quarter with a 27-yard field goal to leave a halftime score of 14-3.
Gaining some ground in the tug-of-war, Cofer would quickly reverse bad field position with a 90-yard burst up the middle to make the score 21-3 in favor of Coronado with 7:17 in the third quarter.
After struggling early in the contest, three star quarterback Drew Doxtator would finally heat up marching his team downfield before tossing a 7-yard toss to Aedan Bartolowitz with 2:33 left in the third.
A quick fumble recovery on the kickoff would put Doxtator in business again and he would make it count finding Bryce Broadwell just a minute later. Adding a two point conversion toss to Broadwell, the Falcons ended the quarter down just 21-18.
The Cougars would need to turn to Cofer again and he would deliver after the Falcons gave the Cougars great field position following a muffed punt. A 2-yard score punt the Cougars up 10-points once again.
Doxtator came back punching again tossing a pass from 45-yard out that Broadwell would ensure reached the endzone with 4:21 left on the clock.
Cofer would be there to carry the day once again making sure the Cougars secure a game closing drive reaching the endzone from 35-yards out with just 47 left in the contest as the Cougars moved to 3-4 on the season but 2-1 in division play.
