Evaluation Period: Busy Week 1 as Rebels target two & Hicks grabs offer #1

Four Nevada football players gained their first offers this week as the evaluation season kicked off with UNLV offering two risers this week.

UNLV Offers

Palo Verde linebacker/defensive end Daniel Bellinger and Bishop Gorman wide receiver Cedric Tillman reported that the UNLV Rebels have extended offers this week.

At 6’5 220, Bellinger is an outstanding athlete with a great motor off the edge that proved to be an impact player for the Panthers off the edge on defense. His position versatility and develop-able frame gives him an extremely high ceiling at the collegiate level with the skills to also develop as a tight end.

Tillman hasn’t had an opportunity to showcase his skill on the field much with just 8 receptions with 2 score last season but the 6’2 206 pass catcher showcased elite athletic skill at the Rivals New Speed Combine. Expected to play a much larger role as a senior, Tillman has the speed and athletic skills to be extremely productive. He is expected to emerge as a breakout star.

One of the top offensive weapons in the state of Nevada, Las Vegas High School running back Elijah Hicks grabbed his first offer this week from the Grizzlies.

A track standout that has logged an 11.10 100m this season, Hicks heads into his final season with 3183-total yards with 38-touchdowns as an all-purpose threat out of the backfield. He is expected to gain steam this spring in summer as more programs have the opportunity evaluate his overall skill set.

The Liberty Patriots reported an offer for junior offensive tackle/defensive end Troy Fautanu from the Utah Utes. A 6’5 240 player, Fautanu is a standout athletically that should have a bigger impact this season as he refines his overall skills.
