Hershberger & Littlefield choose rising D2 programs,Jimmies grab three

Nevada produced an outstanding class of athlete this recruiting with several looking in with programs in the last week before Signing Day

Bison land one of Nevada’s top pass rushers

Division 2 Oklahoma Baptist has been making inroads in Nevada and the Bison stepped in to land Green Valley pass rusher Brock Hershberger this recruiting cycle.

One of the top pure pass rushers in Nevada this cycle, Hershberger is a high energy player that brings some heat versus the pass. At 6-foot-3 235-pounds, he is a well developed player physically with great upper body strength and an array of moves off the edge.

He has room to continue to develop but he has a good chance of being an immediate contributor next season.

Adams State grabs another All-Nevadan

After grabbing Nevada’s leading receiver last week, Adams State grabbed a commitment from the most productive and arguably best linebacker in the state with a commitment from Las Vegas Wildcat Cruz Littlefield.

A three year starter who collected 278-tackles over the course of his high school career, Littlefield is a player with high energy and outstanding instincts at the second level. A strong pass rusher and pass defender, he is a player that can play in space while bringing excellent physicality versus the run.

An LDS member, there is the question of will he join the program directly after high school but when he takes the field he can develop into a major standout for the program.

Jimmies grab three

The NAIA Jamestown Jimmies ended the last week of the recruiting cycle landing three Nevadans to join the program next season in Green Valley linebacker Eric Faber, Bishop Gorman offensive lineman Justice Watson and Las Vegas defensive end Archie McArthur.

McArthur is the highest rated among the trio as a 6-foot-2 225-defensive end/linebacker prospect. A strong pass rusher, he has the ability to be a star right away.

Faber comes in as an instinctive linebacker prospects while Watson brings great bulk in the trenches with a body that has room for development.
