Nevada postseason: Top 2017 Class OL Prospects

Nevada prospects along the offensive line have seen plenty of college success with a several developing into high level NFL prospects in recent years. Ten Nevadans earned starting roles on the FBS level in 2016 with several more earning playing time, here is a breakdown of the high school stars ready to join them in the future.


OL Dyllan Kounovsky Las Vegas 6’5 260

The best athlete among all offensive linemen, Kounovsky starred for the Wildcats on the interior with outstanding quickness and speed. He plays with leverage as a dominant pass and run blocker while lining up at guard this season. With the skills to play any position on the offensive line or transition to defensive line as well in college, Kounovsky is a major sleeper that should be an impact college football player.


OL Adonis Williams Damonte Ranch 6’3 270

Another standout athlete, Williams helped guide the Mustangs to their first trip to the state playoffs as a senior. A high energy player, Williams allowed his teams to open up the offense with great pass blocking, powerful burst off the snap and efficient movement in space.

Committed to the Air Force Falcons, Williams is a great prospect that has all the skill to develop into a star.


OL Poutasi Poutasi Desert Pines 6’3 280

Poutasi is a great lineman with smooth feet, excellent upper body power and strong hands. He is a well coached player that has great balance with does a great job redirecting pass rushers off the snap. Another player with high versatility, he has the ability to develop on the edge or interior.

An early commit to Louisville, Poutasi has opened up his recruitment and will be a player to watch in January.


OL Edgar Burrola Desert Pines 6’6 290

Burrola produced as a senior showing the feet, length and athleticism to transition to the next levels. He has versatility in the trenches with the ability to play guard or tackle in college.

Committed to Arizona, he is a player that should be a great addition with the ability to be an early contributor.


OL Stein Otuafi Reed 6’3 275

A star for the Raiders, Otuafi is a brawler that played on the edge earning Northern lineman of the year. He has the ability to move in space and is an anchor versus the pass. With excellent power, he has the skill to slide into the the interior as a guard in college with well developed strength.


OL Jacob Kelly Centennial 6’6 250

A strong pass blocker, Kelly has the length and athletic skill to develop as a prospect in college. He has excellent balance and plays with good tenacity on the edge with good physical growth potential.

Kelly should see options develop at the FCS or D2 level.


OL William Brewer Liberty 6’3 290

Brewer shifted from offensive tackle to center as a senior anchoring another run at the state championship. He lacks great athleticism but he has the ability to be physical at the point of attack and plays with high confidence. Better suited for the interior, he should move to guard in college.


OG Sala Amuavae-Laulu Liberty 6’6 360

A mauler on the interior, Amuavae moves well for a big man with outstanding strength and power in the middle. He has long arms and has been a solid pass blocker but his forte moving the line of scrimmage in the run game. He has to keep his weight in check in the future but he bring a great high school resume.


OL Amir Johnson Bishop Gorman 6’2 260

The starting left tackle for the nation’s top high school football program, Johnson is a good athlete that is well coached on the high school level with strong hands and the ability to play with leverage. Lack of length should see him shift to the interior where he can develop at center or guard.
