NSD: Nevada has 29 football player sign with FBS school & 92 sign overall

With 28 Nevada football players signing with FBS schools and 78 signing overall, the 2018 Class is one for the Nevada record books. Here is a look at who is headed where:

FBS (29)

Air Force

WR Dru Jacobs Damonte Ranch

Ath Sylo Stanton Spring Valley

LS Brendan Bentley Sierra Vista

The Falcons logged one if the elite athletes in Nevada with Dru Jacobs agreeing to join the program. He give the program an dynamic pass catching option while bringing the same potential as a defensive back.

Stanton brings athletic skills to develop on either side of the ball while Bentley stood out as a high level long snapper.


Arizona

DE Adam Plant Bishop Gorman

Adam Plant joins the Wildcats high upside defensive end that has the athleticism to develop in a high end pass rusher off the edge

The Wildcats also logged an unofficial commit from Desert Pines wide receiver Jaden Mitchell who is expected to join the program as a grayshirt in the future.


Arizona State

Ath Brandon Aiyuk Sierra CC (McQueen)

One of the top offensive playmaker in junior college football, joins a program with a deep group of experienced receivers at Arizona State. With 3 years to play 2 in college, he should have every opportunity to find his niche for the Sun Devil and is listed as an athlete entering the program.

DB Isaiah Herron Arbor View

A physical corner on the edge, Herron joins a Cougar backfield that is looking to bounce back from a difficult season. He brings that physical skills to compete early and should develop into a high caliber player over the course of his career.


Cal

TE McCallan Castles South Tahoe

A great pass catcher, Castles brings athleticism and length off the edge as a tight end prospects.


Hawaii

Ath Jonah Laulu Centennial

Entering the program as a general athlete, Laulu is a raw player that will be develop as a lineman or tight end for the Warriors.


Miami

TE Brevin Jordan Bishop Gorman

One of the elite players in the country, Jordan is capable of making an immediate impact for the Hurricanes. Capable of lining up at tight end, H-back or fullback, he brings great versatility.


Michigan State

WR Jalen Nailor Bishop Gorman

OL Jacob Isaia Bishop Gorman

Two highly competitive athletes, Nailor and Isaia will look to to compete for the Spartans. Isaia has the athleticism to develop into an early contributor in the trenches.

Nailor enters the mix in a young receiving core and will be given the time to develop.


Mississippi

DT Noah Jefferson Arizona Western CC/USC (Liberty)

Jefferson is a run stuffer in the interior with great size, he should make an immediate impact after doing the same as a freshman at USC.


Nevada

OL Trey Hamilton Reno

Good athletes, the trio of Nevada signee won’t be expected to have an immediate impact but should develop into playmakers down the road.

Werbecks has the best chance of play early with his length and raw athletic ability at tight end.

Lappin primarily played defensive end in high school but will be looking to break into the running back rotation where he had a strong senior season while Hamilton should eventually develop into a great addition to the Union.


San Diego State

All December signees, Bellinger is a great athlete that should be brought along slowly but can be a strong pass catcher at tight end.

Kothe will have the opportunity to emerge at the wide receiver position and Mwata can compete to contribute immediately as a prototype defensive back for the Aztec defense.


Tennessee

WR Cedric Tillman Bishop Gorman

An elite athlete at the receiver position, Tillman has the physical skills to compete now but will need refinement before he is ready to take on a major role in college. He could be a major gem in the Vols 2018 class.


Toledo

DT Melvin Johnson Riverside CC (Canyon Springs)

Junior college All-American that signed with UNLV out of high school and Arkansas last season but had academic work to make up before enrolling. He should be an immediate impact player for Toledo that has two to play two with the program.


UCLA

QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson Bishop Gorman

LB Elijah Wade Arbor View

Outstanding athletes, UCLA see to most immediate bang from their duo of Nevada recruits. Thompson-Robinson enters as an eager to develop passer with too much athleticism to keep out of the mix while Wade is also a unique player that will likely contribute early as well.

CB Octavian Bell Liberty

The addition of Oblad gives the program a Nevada offensive star that should emerge down the road as a starter with two sophomore passer, Oblad is a few years from playing a major role.

Bell is a ready to insert player that should challenge as a nickel defensive back right away.

The team also is expected to add the services of massive Eric Brown of Green Valley who has committed but wasn’t a Signing Day addition needing to clear up eligibility status.

LB Palaie Gaoteote Bishop Gorman

Instinctive, Gaoteote adds immediate depth and can develop on the edge or interior for the Trojans. He has a developed frame that should allow him to fight for playing time early.


Utah State

OL Kyler Hack Orange Coast CC (Palo Verde)

Hack won’t be counted on to be a starter right away but his is a great athlete that should emerge as a mainstay by his second season on campus.

A physical and highly unique athlete, Kaho is a player that should take on a large role early in his huskies career.

A former walkon at Nevada, Pyle emerged as an athletic and very accurate passer at Golden West. An early enrollee, he will be competing to emerge as a starter this spring and brings the physical skills to be highly productive right away.

Colorado Mesa has shown a knack for locating star player in Nevada and should hit big once again. Clark has the making of developing into an elite pass catcher and Elefante is a strong defender with versatility.
