Pre-Season Top 2017 Prospects: #26-50

#26. One of the best overall athletes in the state, Ned clocked a 10.8 100m and 22.44 in the 200m dominating the 3A level in track. He has the ability to develop at corner, safety and wide receiver in college with a raw frame that is a blank canvas for huge physical development in the future.

#27. A physical defender with high end instincts, Hester is an impact player versus the run with a great motor. He logged 97-tackles with 4-sacks and 2-interceptions in his second year as a Gaels starter on defense.

He is holding an early UNLV offer

#28. One of the most productive running backs in the state, Marshall is a skilled and shifty runner out of the backfield with soft hands. He accounted for 1726-yards and 25-touchdowns as a junior for the title contending Crusaders and should attract plenty of looks but he has already committed to playing lacrosse at the Air Force Academy

#29. A power player on both side of the ball in the trenches from either side of the ball, Pousima can anchor versus the run as a nose guard with a strong bull rush versus the pass. With good instincts that allows him to quickly locate the ball defensively and he is a mauler on the offensive side of the ball.

Look for him to continue to maintain steam as a senior

30. A prototype lineman with good athletic skill, Burrola adds another major piece to the Desert Pines Jaguars offensive line. With continued development over this off-season, he has added early offers that should multiply as a senior.

#31. A physical player, Araujo logged 105-tackles as a junior with picking up 3-sacks and a pick. He has shown impressive speed this off-season that should allow him to continue to be a major force as a senior.

#32. A playmaker on the edge with good body control and soft hands, Petite adjust to the ball well in flight with great acceleration. Averaging over 20 yards-per-catch as a junior with 586-yards and 6-scores, he should be a player to watch as a senior with very good speed.

33. A developing pass rusher, Graves logged 54-tackles and 6 sacks as a junior. Stronger and more experienced, he is poised to double his totals as a senior.

#34. A high school offensive tackle, Brewers athleticism should see him shift to guard in college. With good balance, he needs to continue to add effective strength this off-season but he is a contender for All-Nevada honors.

#35. Built like a running back, Acohido led his team’s high powered offense in receptions and receiving yards as a junior totaling 901-yards and 7-touchdowns. His skills as an open field runner and impressive acceleration has attracted an offer from Princeton.

#36. Bussey lacks great raw speed but he makes up for it with a physicality and effort. Primarily a linebacker as a junior, he rushed for 683-yards and 7-scores averaging 10.8 yards-per-carry on offense.

#37. A playmaker in the secondary for the Desert Shields, Federson is an impressive player on game day with a knack for big plays. He lacks elite speed but he has the physical upside and instincts to continue to develop.

#38. A hard runner with good balance and vision, Riley lacks breakaway speed but he is a very effective player between the tackles that has good body lean. With the room to add more muscle and speed in the future, he should draw looks after rushing for 1439-yards and 6-touchdowns as a senior

#39. With impressive speed and great ball skill, Allen has the coverage ability to be a standout corner. He has good instincts in coverage physical upside.

#40. A massive and dominant player on interior, Aumuavea-Laulu moves very well for his size. Although he is an impressive football player, he needs to keep his weight below the 350-range to garner quality attention.

#41. A do-it-all player that has the ability to make plays in many facets of the game, Walker is a three year varsity starter that will look to take his game to the next level as a senior.

#42 Keying the edge for the Bulldogs explosive passing game, Kelly was an effective player as a junior with the upside to be an excellent player as a senior. With a good frame, he will be a solid option on any level.

#43. Taking over at quarterback as a junior, Flowers produced an impressive season 1461-yards and 15 touchdowns. A tough football player with good athleticism, he becomes a centerpiece of his team’s offense as a senior.

#44. A smooth athlete with the shiftiness to make plays in space, Bush is a player that can standout at running back (236-yards) or wide receiver (377-yards) as a senior. He has good size and should be ready to take on a larger role as a senior.

#45. Struggles at the quarterback position limited Eagles production but he is a large frame pass catcher that has good hands showing some ability to catch in traffic. A lack of high end speed will limit his options but better quarterback play should see Eagles become much more productive as a senior

#46. A long and rangy player at linebacker, Ruggeroli moves well in space with good instincts. He has to continue to fill in his frame in the future

#47. Active with a great frame, Love has to add weight but he is an effective pass rusher that will need to carry the Pirates on defense. He is a player that should gain steam over the course of the season after logging 38-tackles and 4 sacks as a junior.

#48. Showcasing good speed as a junior, Miller filled the need for the Bulldogs at running back last season after being thrust into a starting role. With good elusiveness, soft hands and good blocking skills, he should be productive as a senior after going for 655-yards and 5-touchdowns as a junior

#49. A productive player off the edge with explosive burst and good speed, Sample make plays behind the line of scrimmage logging 8 sacks as a junior.

#50. Medlock’s Viking team struggled with a new coaching staff and a lack of bodies last season but he is a very good athlete that can garner attention as a senior.
