The Maurauders & Yellow Jackets log Nevada commits

Many Nevadans have earned professional football opportunities by developing outside of FBS football and many are current impact players among lower divisions. Joining an impressive group of stars at the D2 level, four more players made commitments this weekend.

Mary Maurauders grabs three

The University of Mary has been a mainstay Division 2 program in recruiting out of Nevada and the program logged three commitments this weekend rated among the Nevada top 50 with William Federson, Corwin Bush and Brannon Flowers accepting the opportunity to play.

Cheyenne products, Federson and Bush were impact player over the course of their careers on both sides of the football and bring a high level of upside in the future.

A tall safety, Federson has room for physical development on the football field but brings great instincts and a knack for big plays. With great ball skills, he has the ability to defend in space and the physical upside to pack on muscle. With good leaping skills and speed, he has the ability to be an outstanding safety once he matures.

More day one ready, Bush is an explosive offensive weapon that is dominant with the ball in his hands. Logging 939-yards and 8 touchdown from scrimmage as a senior, he also a standout return man with the skill to also develop as a cornerback as well. Shifty with big play speed, he will also be a major player to watch over the course of his career with the program.

An athlete, Flowers has define his position in college after missing his senior season the injury but he was outstanding as a junior on the field. He has the skills to be an offensive weapon and the aggressiveness to land on the defensive side of the ball as well.

A strong and tough player on the interior, Foothill’s offensive lineman Austin Czarnecki (6'2 280) is a skilled blocker on the interior that has the skills desired as a guard. Quick off the snap and capable of playing with leverage, he has good feet and is an experienced pass blocker.

He should develop into a mainstay for the program on the front line.

Sample chooses University Wisconsin-River Falls

A standout on the edge for the Liberty Patriots, Dariyen Sample had a very productive high school career and showed a knack for rushing the passer. Moving to the D3 level, he has a strong upper body and good speed that should allow him to develop as a linebacker in the future.
