The 2019 season won't feature a high number of top defensive tackle prospects leading into the summer but the position has traditionally featured high caliber player in Nevada. A trio enters the season as the top seniors to watch with more players capable of emerging over the course of the season.

45 tackles 4 sacks

Explosive with upfield bust and great quickness, Toomalatai has the ability to disrupt plays behind the line of scrimmage. He has very quick hands and great strength showing the ability to shed blockers consistently. Taking on a primary role, Toomalatai has a chance to add to his three early offers.

Playing on one of the stingiest defenses in the state, Mann is a tough player in the middle with good athletic ability. He has the ability to make plays behind the line of scrimmage and brings good energy off the snap. With another year of maturity, he could be a game changer as a senior.

With quick hands and impressive burst off the snap, Amotai is a player capable of being disruptive behind the line of scrimmage. He shows great production as a run stuffer and tracking down the ball in space. He should garner looks this season.

White had a shortened junior season but his play as a sophomore allowed him to display impressive athleticism and energy in the middle. He is a capable disruptor with a great frame and shows the ability to dominate at times. He should be a prospect that turns heads this upcoming season.

Top Underclass Prospects to Watch

Long with great bulk, Butler does a great job of washing off blockers to track the ball and plays with explosion off the snap. He has the ability to handle double teams and shows strong hands.

Holding four major early offers, Butler is on track to garner elite status.

Another prospect that should push for elite status in 2019, Finau is a powerful player in the middle that brings plenty of energy in the trenches. Quick enough to shoot gaps and make plays behind the line of scrimmage, he is a disruptor that should see option start to pile up.

33 tackles 3 sacks

A pure nose guard, Noma’aea is a run stuffer that anchors in the middle with a powerful bull rush. With physical upside, he is a player to watch this season.

An active two-way lineman, Togagae plays with active hands and plenty of power in the middle. He is capable of getting pressure on the passer and being disruptive behind the line of scrimmage defensively.

He doubles as a strong run blocker on the offensive side of the ball with good foot quickness.

He is a strong defensive prospect that can become very attractive as an offensive guard with a few more inches of growth.
