Former Canyon Springs basketball star SF/SG Gerad Davis (6’4 205) had planned to join his brother Jordan Davis at Eastern Washington University to continue career in college. The duo committed to the program in early 2014 but with the younger Davis wavering and Gerad only guaranteed a walk-on role, the idea fell through with Gerad taking a path to Casper Junior College.

With two years gone by, Jordan is now a starting guard at Northern Colorado and it appears the duo will once come together as Gerad has decided to continue his college career at UNC as well.

With his team 12-5, the older Davis has honed his craft at the junior college level averaging a team leading 14.5 points per game as a sophomore while shooting over 36% from 3-point range as a sophomore.

Physically strong, Gerad has also shown toughness on the boards as one of the program’s leading rebounders showing a well balanced stat sheet.

He will be joining a program that will be senior heavy in 2017 and looking to get into position to contend for the Big Sky title.
