Playoffs outlook and STG schedule

The end of the regular season is nearly here with questions left to be answered on the field. Although the Sunrise end of the season is still too far away to make calls, the North and Sunset are eyeing a lot of scenarios in the final two weeks.
The Northwest is all but locked but tonight is very big for the rest of the programs in the state.

Northwest
The top four teams are locked in while in with seeding left to be determined. Wins today by Palo Verde, Legacy and Cimarron will look up the seeding while Cheyenne is locked into the #4 seed unless Cimarron implodes which is unlikely.
Southwest
Bonanza and Desert Oasis futures are left to be decided as it goes towards the playoffs. If Bonanza wins at home versus Durango next week they are in. If not they need Desert Oasis to be upset by Sierra Vista or Western over the last two weeks. Bishop Gorman officially locked up the #1 seed yesterday with a blow out versus Spring Valley. A Durango win tonight versus Western locks them into a #2 seed as they beat Spring Valley head-to-head but a loss makes the games versus Bonanza next week more important to their future.
High Desert
Reed can lock up the #1 seed with a win versus Spanish Spring tonight.
Spanish Spring must beat both Reed and McQueen the next two weeks to lock up a playoff spot with them losing to Hug head-to-head. A two game losing streak will likely mean they miss the playoffs as Hug only has Elko left on the slate.
North Valley may need to beat Reed in the final week of the season if Spanish Springs loses out as they would then fall into a three way tie at #3 with a loss.
Sierra
Carson and Douglas appear to be set to battle for the #1 seed barring a major upset this week. A loss by Douglas in that one has the potential of creating a three way log jam at #1 in the division if Bishop Manogue win out with a big game versus Galena in the final week.
A Monogue win over Damonte Ranch would lock them in for the playoffs but a loss allows the Carson Douglas game to be a battle for pure #1 while Manogue versus Galena would be a battle for the #3 and 4 spot with the loser landing a tie for #4 the likely scenario. The make a Manogue win tonight very important as a loss will mean they fall into a must win versus Galena next weekend.
The remaining games in the STG schedule
Tonight: Canyon Springs (4-2) at Valley (2-5)
Canyon Springs comes off a tough loss to Vegas but has rolled much of this year with a young team.
The Vikings are hoping a shift to using Garic Wharton at quarterback mid-season keys a late playoff run for the program with this game nearly falling into the must win category if Eldorado wasn't closing with a tough schedule.
Next Thursday: Western at Desert Oasis
Besides having possible playoff implications, the Warriors are a team with some very good players that lacked the depth this year with four major players transferring.
Desert Oasis is a team that has looked decent and also has some talented players as well but lack of quality depth has also been a problem.
11/6: Gorman versus Northwest #4
Likely to be Cheyenne. The Gaels have looked dominating this season versus the Southwest and have made it look easy. The Shields have been struggling at times this year but have good speed overall on the roster.
11/13: Las Vegas versus the Southeast
The Wildcats earlier game was a breeze and many of the team's top players were out. This will be an opportunity to see a more competitive game with the team in action.
