The Wolves battle to the wire

Down 6-0 at the half, the Basic Wolves didn't fret, they came out of halftime ready to play and walking away with the number two-seed in the Sunrise playoffs with a 21-13 victory.
Quarterback Tyler Dobbins took control in the second half as he and he teammates battle to the end to walk away with a win. Connor Afoa took the kickoff back for a touchdown but a holding call pushed the ball back to the 49-yard line. The Falcons were able to break the tie as Tyrel Garner hauled in a fade pass in the end zone from Parker Riggin but the Wolves gave the Falcons all they could handle in the red zone before giving up the big play.
The Wolves saw the clock ticking and finally began to put the game away as Dobbins threw a few great passes for long gains before a draw play to Edward Villaros for 15-yards would tie the score at 13-13.
On the next kick off, Afoa was stopped at the 16 and the Wolves defense clamped down like they had all day with big plays. The punt gave the ball to the Wolves at the 39-yard line late in the game. After a big pass play, Dobbins took a quarterback draw 23-yards for the tie breaking score. In a surprise, the Wolves coaching staff called a fake extra point that Matt Dembinski took off the left corner in for the two point conversion making the score 21-13.
On the Falcons final opportunity, dropped passes and a huge fourth down sack by linebacker Marty Christensen doomed them to fall.
Next week both teams will move on to the playoffs as the start the march to the Sunrise Title game.
