The UNLV Rebels football team had two locals football players announce commitments to the program this week with Green Valley’s offensive lineman Eric Brown and Centennial’s tight end Jonah La’ulu coming off the board.

An outstanding athlete with great size, Brown is capable of contributing immediately on the interior or the edge for the Rebels.

A three year starter, Brown has helped the Gators to a berth in the Sunrise Championship game this week showing balance and strong hands. He has the speed and agility to pick up blocks on the second and third level that should bode well at UNLV.

Brown also held offers from Hawaii and Nevada

A sleeper that didn’t land on the Scouting the Game schedule, La’ulu is a standout athlete that brings speed, length, size and versatility.

Capable of developing on the offensive line or defensive line as well, La’ulu has been primarily a tight end on the high school level, he has good hands and the ability to stretch for the football.

Also holding an offer from Hawaii, he brings the physical skills to develop into a standout over the course of his career.
